I found these 2 great links showing the capabilities of Parallels Desktop(videos demo Included) and setup instructions. I hope this will answer all inquiries about Intel Mac Machine running windows OSs. Hack Attack : Side-by-side Windows and Mac Os with ParallelsThe next link is about Parallels Desktop's Coherence which allows Mac OS X and Windows fused together(Sort of). This functions enable Mac users to run Windows Based applications in OS X. Watch the video and You will Understand what i'm referring here. Hack Attack : How to run Windows and Mac OS X apps side-by-side with Parallels

N0eL, I've enough to stuff to worry about, besides have no idea what's wrong with my stupid internet connection [ok, admittedly i'm having another crappy day!] so can't load the video [or maybe my patience is just running out] Then again, I know who I can go to for help, right?

Noel, I've played around with the Parallels installation n i dont dare to go online wit Parallels running cause i've no antivirus runnin in my machine... is it safe to go online unprotected while runnin both OSes?... if my a virus/spyware infects my windows, will it affect my OSX too? this is what puzzles me...

By right, I dont think that Windows viruses will go thru Mac Os since both running on different cores. But as u said, if run both side by side, we'll never know what will happen wont we?
Still, i do believe that Os X will not be infected by Windows Viruses/spywares. Else you'll see us running antiviruses and spyware prevention apps already.

Mac OS and Windows are in different platform of HDD format. Mac OS boots Windows OS as a Virtual Drive and Mac OS actually created a NTFS/FAT/FAT32 allocation for your Windows while Mac OS is running on their own HDD allocation. Those virus will attack Windows only and not Mac OS as Mac OS cannot allocate NTFS drive directly without any virtual drive
