I understand what you mean, and I respect your opinion. Maybe it highly depends on what AV we have been used to using, and when something is slightly slow, we make a fuss out of it. Anyway, nice elaboration. Cheers! EDIT: Not to mention, I rarely see people use "I beg to differ" in LYN. You really know how to keep a conversation flare-free. Nice work! you can keep arguing but most of the people here are comparing the products without thinking about the pricing because they only tried the "P" version. I do agree that bitdefender is a little underrated but it also have some problems with it's gui. Same like nod32 which is seriously difficult to use for an everyday joe/jane. No doubt, they are good product but the bad gui design stops them from going major with norton or mcafee.

QUOTE(ex660 @ Dec 20 2006, 12:19 AM) I wonder why there's no one mentioning BitDefender? BitDefender price is lowest and affordable amongst all of the mentioned AV Suites.. And it works better, priced better & recognized.. It's an all rounder package... If you are talking about budget... BitDefender fits in If you are talking about performance etc. BitDefender does not lose out to Kaspersky.. In fact I think its underrated.. While other FREE AV's are highly recommended by users here because its for Home use.. Bit defender is good no doubt but in an enterprise environment, managability is an issue. Having a good/best scanner but lousy enterprise based management tools makes the product bad in the enterprise scenario. I'not saying that Bitdefender enteprise is lousy but that is why i'm trying to do is undertand the original question and his rational for choosing the 3.

Yea I would really like to voice my opinion here, not because I am siding the sales of my BD products.. I do agree that the certain shortcomings that hold their competition against the major AV's But to be frank.. all type of AV's has its pro's and con's.. It's still about being to balance the cost vs functionality.. that will the end justify the suitability of choosing these products.... and yea.. cheers dudes! holiday season just around the corner This post has been edited by ex660: Dec 20 2006, 12:46 PM
