QUOTE(Doomsday @ Jan 5 2008, 06:39 PM) well, actually you can process 120 film in this type of style as well.where they lay down the strips of negative film side by side and then project it into an A4 sized photographic paper. it's quite common before the digital era. but my concern is the price of doing so cos i think A4 sized photo doesn't come cheap to begin with. |

QUOTE(neshie @ Jan 28 2008, 06:46 PM) is this thread dead? =x the last time i checked with folio, they said that they wouldn't have stock on holgas and fisheyes untill march. not so sure abt dianas though.anyways, is it easy to get a Holga or Diana here? The last time i checked folio, wangsa maju, they had frogeye, pop9, coloursplash, actionsampler, cybersampler, & supersampler. what kinda camera shud i get for a beginner? >< and also, how much do u people spend monthly on developing+scanning? thanks. well, depends on what you'd want your pic to end up like. those cams with the word sampler and another one called okto-dunno-mat which has more than 1 lenses are mainly for moving subjects. if you like the good old fashioned still pictures, the holga is a good start. the fisheye has a really wide angled lens at your disposal to be creative. both the holga and the fisheye can do multiple exposures which is cool. creatively wise, i think the holga has more potential. cos you can control a lot of conditions like light leaks and you can even modify the camera to take an entirely unique pictures called sprocket hole pics. the diana costs more than the holga i think. they are almost identical specs except that the diana has 3 different apertures compared to the holga which has technically only 1 aperture. most importantly, the diana doesn't have built in flash. |
