Hello everyone smile.gif

I'm planning to get a Lomo LC-A. It's a used one, just wanted to know how much the film costs and also the cost to develop the photos and get the scanned ones to upload to PC.

And also, is it better to get a LC-A+ ??

LC-A / LC-A+ / LC-A+RL is using 35mm, so the cost is depends on the shop. Cost for developing a roll of film vary from RM 4 / roll to RM 15 / roll. Depends on what shop you go. Scanned price is the same, from RM 2 to RM 20. And if you have your own scanner, you already saved a lot of money biggrin.gif

Hrm, if you have the money, go buy LC-A+. The good thing LC-A+ is that it have 1600 ISO/ASA option and LC-A+ have MX setting, LC-A don't..

P/S: MX = Multiple Expose..

Woah the LC-A+ costs RM960 from TheClickShop. What about the Holga135/135bc? Do you know anything about those?

Just thought maybe I should start off with something simple and cheap.

Haha, yes, LCA+ is kinda expensive biggrin.gif But you can try LCA, half the price of LCA+. Around RM 400 - RM 500. More than that is overprice biggrin.gif

Holga 135 and 135BC is recommended. Since holga is really easy to operate, load the film and just shoot biggrin.gif Make sure to open the lens cap and research about ISO and shutter. If not, you will asking, why your 1st roll is all black tongue.gif (Well its more easy than Diana, haha, my first cam is Diana and I have some trouble at 1st to 4th roll, but then, don't be afraid, just shoot and shoot biggrin.gif)

P/S: BC stands for Black Corners = vignette.

Thanks for your help smile.gif Just ordered the Holga135.

Will you be developing the film yourself? Or you just want to unload and hang on to it until you have a few rolls to develop?

What sort of film should i get for my Holga 135? I read somewhere that ISO 400 film gives better colour. And if i want to develop the film, can i just unload it anywhere and take it to the shop?

Any 35mm is ok, ISO 25 - ISO 3200 biggrin.gif From B&W, Slides and normal negatives biggrin.gif And yes, if you like to have a lot of rolls, buy expired films.

If i want pictures with vivid colours and what film is best? And what are expired films?

Fuji Superias are cheap and quite saturated in colors. If you really want colors, nothing beats the slides like Velvia.

Expired films are film past their shelf expiry date. Depending how they are kept, they can give variable results. Google and see.

I see, and if i want to transfer the pictures to my PC, do i scan the developed photos or the negatives? Or is it the same thing?

Yes, and you can press twice if you want to make a multiple expose, or even thrice. If you satisfied with it, advance the film and press the shutter again. Multiple expose is not a must, but its fun to do biggrin.gif

P/S: Make sure your cap lens is open biggrin.gif
