Never bath a puppy or dog or cat or kitten 1 week after vaccination, that is the basic rule that should not be broken. The injection is actually a virus that is injected into the body, causing the immune system to create antibody and become stronger so won't easily get affected by other viruses.... For 1 week, the body will be weak and your pup can easily become sick... this is why never bath for about 7 to 10 days after a vaccination. We always do it before vaccination.

Why people shave the paws? So it is easier to walk and clean. |

You will only know the breeder is good if you have seen his dogs.... don't judge by how the guy talks or chat, judge by how his dogs look.
Yes, the way he hold the pups are wrong..... may look cute but wrong. Wet look... pups dirty loh. I don't see any grooming on them also, a few are liver coloured poodles instead of red poodles. |

Pictures can lie.... the best is going to a breeder.... but I guess many also do not see the true breeder since there are agents selling puppies at their own place, kind of like conning people to think they are the breeder..... So the best is paying a visit to the "seller". Look at his home, look at how he house the puppies, look at the food quality, look at both parents and also the rest of the puppies. View the cage, view the area they live in and check the fur and physical condition of the pup.
It takes patience and time when choosing a pup and also breeder. Poodles always look fluffy but if you feel the body, you can easily tell if the dog is under weight or sickly... many people still do not know how to choose well, I once carried one but it was so thin and skinny, I felt so sad... the fur made him look fat and chubby but once you touch the body.... all bones. |

QUOTE(^MochI^ @ Jun 26 2007, 02:54 PM) oh so liver nose is actually a chocolate la.. but black 1s are reds.. Yups... easy to tell a pure Chocolate is that it has no black on the body. Everything is brown or dark brown.... other colours should not have liver noses.... sometimes Apricot will have but it is not a desirable trait.luckily when i hug hugo .. cant feel the bones. only fats. lol. |

QUOTE(^MochI^ @ Jun 26 2007, 09:14 PM) chocolate is nice too.. so the seller is actually selling chocolate toy lo.. not red toy.. Yah... it is chocolate.... also i saw some red toys got abit of pink on its nose.. but the overall is black.. is it acceptable on red toy anot? some got dots of pink somemore. kinda look cute lol. wad about shih tzu? my relative had a shih tzu with REALLY pINK NOSE! Very Cute. Added on June 26, 2007, 9:19 pmHun, wad is eye rim and lip? Added on June 26, 2007, 9:23 pma chocolate must not hav black on the body.. wad about the eyes? blue coloured rite? Shih tzus can have liver colour also but the standard name is not called Chocolate lah. Other poodles should not have pink noses. All should have black but the Chocolate must have liver nose. Eye rim and lips.... aiyoh.... where do people apply eye liner? Around the eyes rite? Then you apply lipstick at where? Your lips right...? Dogs also same thing lah. Poodles should not have blue eyes. The blue eyes is only when puppies but it will fade and become dark eyes when 4 months old.... if it doesn't fade, it means the eyes not standard already. |

QUOTE(Gilbert5107 @ Aug 30 2007, 01:35 PM) my gf grandma got 2 poodle. male n female.different family.2 also Brownish de.... fur botak jor. 4month + old only. now the male 'gatal' edi. izit so fast they will like that? You better be careful. Do not let them breed before 1 year old, later complications, can be dangerous to the female and also whatever offspring she carries.QUOTE(sinv @ Aug 30 2007, 05:51 PM) oh...dilemma...at 1st wan buy female...cos more guai...scare the male puppy simply pee...then ppl said can train..then i decide to take male....now u all said male gatal... Well, you can always neuter.... it will make the male dog more obedient. He will not simply pee here and there, he won't hump and won't always wanna find females too. |

QUOTE(sinv @ Aug 30 2007, 08:35 PM) Yups.... it can prolong their lives.... less likely to get cancer. No, they won't feel upset coz no sex drive. All these are human emotions.... dogs breed coz God gave them an instinct to populate to avoid extinction. Anyway, spaying can be done after the 1st heat.... for males, neutering can take place as early as 6 months but most vet would advice to do it once they reach a year old. Best to listen to your vet lah. The pain would only last a week coz of the minor surgery. The dog will be a bit moody, it must be confined for the stitches to heal properly. After about a week or 2, your dog will be back to normal and happy go lucky. |

QUOTE(sinv @ Sep 3 2007, 05:22 PM) I cant sleep well cos the puppy cry so often. This morning i wanted to go work but not so feeling well, then i go get MC. Leave the house about 1.5hour. When i get home Amos still crying. TV doesn't seems work. Even if the breeder do the vaccination himself, there is a card. It is irresponsible and unethical for a breeder to not give a card and do the vaccination himself. The vet needs to know what vaccination your Amos gotten coz got 6in1, 7in1, 10in1.... Since i got time at working hour, i bring him for a health check. Good news that his vet said he is healthy, but vet got abit not satisfied cos no vaccination card for the puppy. The breeder inject himself yes mochi, doctor suggest alarm clock with tickling sound also and he said tv can't really help.... duno whether centrepoint got such alarm clock or not... It is normal for puppies to be noisy for the 1st few days to a week... need to adjust coz away from its family. |

Whoa... vaccinate after 3 months? That's not right. Should start vaccination at 2 months.... deworm.... normally can deworm at 6 weeks old already.
Some breeders, they don't wanna waste their money on vaccination, they rather you pay more for them and you do vaccination yourself. This is why I think alot of LYN dog sellers are just out there to make profit than to provide a healthy and quality pet. |

Change the food lah.... pedigree very low quality. Give better quality dog food coz Pedigree is very artificial. No real meat, got lots of preservatives and coloring....

Hahaha... you see US lah.... it is a product similar, called Angel's Eyes.... USD65 for small bottle, if you convert, is more than Rm100 rite?
Why it is expensive is because of the ingredient, I dunno if Yang uses the same ingredient but the US version uses Tylosin, a kind of antibiotic that clears up tear stains. Early, we know that tear stains is caused by a yeast growth, it is a Red Yeast, and it stains fur be it from tears or saliva.... the antibiotic kinda stops the yeast from spreading, clearing up the tear ducts so there would be no infection and also Red Yeast growth.... that's what I know only. |
