i think if someone is selling his guitar for RM10K (bought it new for RM20K), most guitarist will not buy since their budget is up to RM4k only.

depends how spoilt the kid is / how rich the father is.
but really so many options to go...
go cheap, cheap things sometimes no good.
go cheap, later on maybe buy new better guitar as kid improves.
go expensive, later on kid want a lolex instead...die tongue.gif

if the child is small size, i would recommend Cort Earth Mini which is about RM790. If budget allows, Taylor GS mini will set you back about RM2,300. brows.gif

If he/she can play a full size guitar, you can start with Yamaha F310 which is less than RM500.

Note that all these are prices for new guitars.

that GS mini price was pre-rm2.6b.
current retail price is at least rm3.1k.

i remembered my first guitar was a handed-down yamaha classical guitar in the 1970s by my dad . it's still with me now for sentimental reasons.

Some parents willing to spend a fortune for their kid by buying an expensive guitar and later selling it when their kid gives up. well, parents always wanna give the best they can to their kids.
