Hi there.

Tomorrow, I am planning to buy a new laptop for myself. I have to admit that I am noob and do not have good knowledge for laptop and IT stuff. Please help me to recommend a good laptop. Here's my below criteria:

Criteria for new laptop:
- Budget RM 2000.00 (max)
- Portable and light weight (because I ride motor to work)
- Usage: Standard office work (PDF, Office Word, Excel, MS Power Point, Email)
- Game: Counter Strike GO (if possible) , Dota, League of Legends
- Good warranty and sales after service (I am not sure with the price of RM 2000.00 will have this kind of benefit) smile.gif

My friend recommend me an ACER laptop:
- Aspire R 11, Model Name: R3-131T-P3BM, Part Number: NX.G0ZAA.002).
- Here's the link what it looks like http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/NX.G0ZAA.002

But the screen size a bit small (11.6) and I had a bad experience with Acer with their previous model ( a long time ago). I also think netbook is not a good idea because it's too small.

I really need you guys @ the sifu's to recommend a good laptop with above criteria and budget. notworthy.gif . Thanks!

Don't get ACER, I have one and experiencing software issue.

2016 - I see damn a lot of good Intel laptops under RM2000. Asus and Lenovo are probably most reliable. Dell slightly above RM2K.
Get Intel, don't get those laptops <2K with AMD.

Yeah. Lenovo kinda nice. Do you have any specific model for me to take a look? About Asus, I heard they have bad customer sales service. On other hand, yeah thanks for the Dell recommendation. Gonna take a look at their website.

Hi arepit,

What do you have in mind for recommendation? Hmm, i only play counter strike (planning to install CS:GO) and dota. Btw, I am not a gaming person. As long those 2 games running fine, then it's okay for me icon_rolleyes.gif

Dell inspiron 14 and 15 should be around your price range though the 15 may not come with Windows if less than 2,000.

Dell Inspiron 14 looks nice as the 15 kinda big for me because i am looking for portable and light weight (i ride motor to work) tongue.gif . May I ask, Dell Inspiron 14 is a new model or an old model?
