hi, I'm afraid I do not have any brown switches.. apparently not a big enough thing in their market.. most only want either blue or black switches. doh.gif yes have volume up/down function keys, although not above numpad. sweat.gif please let me know if you're still interested! I am finalizing a small batch tonight!

I have enquired with factory before but I'm afraid they do not make boards of full layout without LED. :/

I wish to respectfully refute the statement in regards of the ducky zero and cherry board 2.0 with the following arguments:

i) customer Joseph had once drew an analogy with me the other day on why he did not get a cherry board, I am sorry for the lack of a better example but a cherry MX board 2.0 (retailing at around 260 before GST) vs the lingyi is like comparing a proton Iriz full spec with a Nissan almera base model. Both are around the same price range (almera being around 6k more expensive) but for the price you're paying for the Iriz, you will get all the features that are not available in the almera, such as GPS, more airbags, automatic side mirrors, etc. But of course, I agree with people if they prefer brand over substance, as we are living in this kind of world, it can't be helped..

With the lingyi vs the cherry 2.0, it is quite similar. Cherry 2.0 board is not only a bit more expensive, it also does not have any function keys available (windows lock, volume adjuster, media buttons) nor does it even have a single bulb of LED! the build is totally plastic (although good plastic is equally a good thing as an aluminum body like lingyi)

Although obviously at the end of the day, it is still up ti your preference. Many of the buyers here have tested out the cheery 2.0 board in lowyat Plaza shops and decided that a keyboard that looks so basic is not worth the nearly RM 300 of their hard earned money. This should not matter if you are adamant on wanting a cherry switch and nothing else. I am not sure if you're set on cherry switches or am looking for explore around.

As for the ducky zero, the same argument van definitely be recycled, as the name ZERO suggests, it's a very basic keyboard. And the retail price on average is definitely not close to my asking price, it is around RM330 (unless you can find second hand) this is of course referring to the list price of some shops here, and I do not blame them for the high price, it can't be helped! Currency is weak currently, hopefully it'll recover in time.

Above are the reasons on why I think my board should be considered, although end of the day it all boils down to everyone's personal preferences and what they like, if you believe the cherry board is for you, then I saw go for it! smile.gif

Sincerely hope I have not offended you or any car owners out there. And I bid you a good day, Leon!

Got this keyboard few days ago and to my surprise, it is well built and have the solid feel although it is China product.

Surely Outemu doesn't feel as good as Cherry MX, but for the price offered, I got no complains.

To those who are still comtemplating/thinking, I understand your feelings as I do have those itchy feelings at first that this keyboard might not be the keyboard I wish to have since it is made at China. I've been researching for this keyboard before TS opened this WTS thread but at the end, give it a try and ordered from TS.

After getting it and been using for few days, I'm guessing it is worth the price.

Thanks alot TS for bringing this in!

Thanks for your detailed reply, here is the situation,
i much prefer brown switch > blue > red/black (dont mind Chinese switches as long as its got a proven track record)
blue is kind of noisy, it feels really good to type but not on the ears.
i do use the num pad often unfortunately. tho I prefer the looks/size of TKL but I value function > looks
Thats the same gos for led, i would just turn it off as i find it distracting.

If i didnt mind sound of blue and fine with TKL i would definitely give this RM150 lingyi a try.

Here are my current options, buy the RM150 TKL and buy a separate cheapo num pad RM20-30 which i would probably end up regretting later on.
RM230 for the full size blue keyboard with led turn off. but its still noisy even if i put rings on it.
I was actually comparing prices from lelong and not retail.

If yingli has a brown full size for RM190-200, Take my money now

I'm afraid not, but.. I see the possibility of you to add your own LED by purchasing the non-LED variant, there are empty LED holes above every switch rolleyes.gif further custom modding brows.gif

Latest Announcement:

1)Full layout keyboards are having a backlog of orders, factory citing that they have run out of the correct parts for full layout, estimated delay is 4 days only! Still accepting orders!
2) I should be stopping importing operations temporarily from mid April until late May for several reasons, if you are contemplating to order, best to make your decision now!

thanks for your feedback, man! I've been hunting for a potential mechanical keyboard with only single coloured LEDs for the past 3 months, until now still can't find any good ones. doh.gif The search continues!!
