currently the 64gb high spec version (2300 chinese yuan, about rm1400) is selling for rm1999 at satu gadget. anyone saw any cheaper here? i dont mind if it doesnt have playstore.

Mi5 or not to Mi5

Slept over it last night, read some reviews this morning, now I find my self interested in it again.

For all the Mi5 Chinese rom users out there, if you install google services, google play, does it mean you can use it like a normal phone, ie whatsapp, waze etc...., sync with google etc....

If MIUI weekly update will it uninstall google stuff?
and redo all again?

ok i have just spent the last hour reading first few pages from page 1 then it got boring and skiped to 50, read all the way to page 60.

now my concern is with miui as user has pointed out its bloated.
global rom is buggy, stick with chinese rom.
so so camera.
other then that i actually love the looks of Mi5 and the curve at the back looks amazing to hold, not like the s7 edge, feels awkward to hold with the inverted curve.

even tho i can get MI5 64gb for RM1450 directly from china i think i will give it a pass now.
currently own honor 7 but have not used it much (hate the laggy camera), was going to give it to my dad and upgrade to mi5. with all the issues with unstable and ap set warranty issue
i think i will just get honor 8 when it comes out or the huawei P9 looks good but around 2k tho.
for simplicity i think huawei is good, as its got good customer service in malaysia. hardware is ok

one plus 2 or 3 sounds good with cynogem mod. but i never was every interested in it to begin with mostly coz it cost a lot, prefer to stick to larger manufacture, eg xiaomi, huawei, lenovo=no i think its got too much problems)

yeh i wish MI5 had stock andriod or cynogen mod, I would so buy it if it was available.

Kind of scary letting someone else mess with the Rom & install something inside...who knows it contains some spyware. Bad apps are memory and battery draining too. Maybe those china ppl think giving us more is better but its actually opposite.

Just bought myself a Mi5, but sadly random reboot occasionally happens and the download apps bugged/autocrash.. Which i could say almost similar problem facing on mi4c
