Mostly are disappointed because it doesn't meet their expectation. Mi5 took 19 months to be released after Mi4. So they thought it would be a huge improvement. But at the end, they are not impressed.

And some other things they hate including the "fake slim bezel", the home button, and the "criple" SD chip for based model.

This just came in. Apparently, the first batch sales on 1st March in China are only limited to base model and the 64gb rom model. The highest spec Mi 5 Pro is not included in the first batch.

This is crazy. Everyone know that most people will go for the Pro model. But Xiaomi is not going to sell it on the first wave. What the hell?

I guess they are worry that the fans may ditch the base model. So they came out with this silly tactic?

Hmmm, bro. Why do you think it will be announced? FYI, It's a RUMOR. Even the gsmarena themselves also put a declaimer at the bottom said they can not guarantee that the information is 100% correct. You should take it as a grain of salt instead of giving it so much hope.

Another bad news. It might be a rumor, but it could be very true as well.

An unknown source indicated that the reason why Xiaomi doesn't want to sell Mi5 Pro at the first batch simply because the quantity is limited. It's limited due to the higher production cost on the ceramic body. It will be quite difficult to get one even if you want to buy it in China.

If this is true, that means Mi Malaysia may bring a very limited stock of Mi 5 Pro into here. Or worse, they won't bring in the Mi 5 Pro at all. If this happen, it will be another big let down to the Malaysian Mi fans.

It's normal what. The longer we wait, the passion & the anticipation will go away slowly. But once the grey importers bring in the new toys, this thread will become live again.

Just a little info.

According to the chinese fans, it was confirmed that Mi 5 Pro's screen is using Glorilla Glass 4. However, the base model and 64 gb storage models are unknown.

Instead of sobbing because can't afford Mi5, don't you think you should be frustrated about Mi4s? because Mi4s is basically Mi4c with SD card expansion storage.

Already read the Mi5 review from China websites. After testing, it's confirmed that SD 820 does not have overheat issue like previous SD810. Since Mi5 has no problem on heat issue, I guess S7 should be the same as well.

A reliable info leaked in China today. Claiming that Mi Note 2 will be releasing in July. Coming with 5.65 inch screen, double rear camera and finger print scanner at front. However, the product name may change depends on the sales performance of Mi5. If Mi5's sales volume does not meet their expectation, Xiaomi may change "Mi note 2"'s name in to "Mi5 Plus".

Anyway, I couldn't care less. We even have problem to get a hold of Mi5 in Malaysia market.

It's not confirmed but the answer is most likely yes since lately there's no other new Xiaomi phones have been announced except Mi5 & Mi4s.

I think it's depends on the screen size. For phones at the range of 5-5.5 inch, you won't notice much difference between QHD & FHD since the screen size is small. But for phones at the range of 5.5-6.0 inch, you may notice the difference.
