A reliable info leaked in China today. Claiming that Mi Note 2 will be releasing in July. Coming with 5.65 inch screen, double rear camera and finger print scanner at front. However, the product name may change depends on the sales performance of Mi5. If Mi5's sales volume does not meet their expectation, Xiaomi may change "Mi note 2"'s name in to "Mi5 Plus".

Anyway, I couldn't care less. We even have problem to get a hold of Mi5 in Malaysia market.

Hehe , they dare speak of sales volume "did not met their expectation " while they can only come up with white color option and no PRO version for their first ever sale of MI 5, they cant even supply MI5 at the numbers that preordered .
What is the use if you expect to sell kazillion MI5 but you Only have parts for 6 or 7 million sets . Last year they say they missed their target of 80 million but we in Malaysia did not even get to smell Redmi Note 3 much less buying it. If it was avialable widely and not solely in mainland , then they might be able to acheive their target.

Too bad. Im heading airport now.... If not i may have chance to grab it. Damn.

Because to be frank, 5.2 inch is a bit on the smaller side for me, would definitely love something at 5.5 inch or slightly above, Mi Note-alike size sounds perfect for me.

There's something that worried me about Xiaomi as a phone manufacturer though, their speed of pumping out OS updates are absolutely atrocious and I being an Android apps developer would love to have something that have the newest OS to test my stuff out, running stuff on emulators is really inefficient, takes forever to load and not everything works like it does in a real phone.

Then we will get Mi5 on July.Just look at the treand of Mi Malaysia.After Redmi Note3 announced we get Redmi Note2.After Mi5 announced we get Redmi Note3.So after successor of Mi Note announced we should get Mi5.

Need wait a few weeks or import it yourself from some scalper in China.Mi5 very high demand right now and you need to pay very premiums price to be early owners.(Only basic version 32&64 white available)
