I am a year 3 Mechanical engineering student at UTAR
My university is no longer willing to entertain me as a student.
I don't know what to do...feels like life is doomed, and my family doesn't have the
financial status to support me again, and my parent are too old to deal with my shit again.

You mean already met the president in previous sem?
There is no more chance if you are terminated again.

Good luck.

maybe studying is really not your forte since you say you failed several times

getting kicked out is probably good for you, think about that

If you kept failing, it means that you are not up for it. You can change course, change college or go to work.

If you change course, you can see any other relevant courses because they offer the same subject in which you can skip their first and/or second year and continue on based on certain negotiation.

Or if you are changing to a different course of different industry entirely, start from scratch and take time to do it all over again. This time, work hard.

Get a job now, stop wasting time and get your ass up to the society. You can work first and continue study later.

U can feel bad or sad for urself, but dun let urself be in this state for too long. After a few days, let it sink in. Then think about it, why u keep failing, is it because of ur effort? Or is it u dun have the motivation anymore? Or u just don't like to study?

If u know it is because u did not put enough effort in it, then start putting more effort in it. Shut urself down from social media 1 month before exam, study 2-3 hours per day, do more exercise.

if u dun have the motivation anymore, take a break, go to a trip with ur family or friends, let ur feelings out to ur best friend. Seek for advice, take a break. Start a fresh.

If u don't like to study, then stop studying, quit uni and start looking for word.

There is always a reason for everything.

Success cannot be quantified. So even if u got kicked out of uni, don't lose hope and give up. Rmb when 1 door closes on you, 2 more doors open up for you.

Good luck!

Try to ask for one year break due to financial reason. Get a job to know yourself better and earn tuition fee first.

The bright side of this episode is UTAR maintained some standards, if the student performance is poor, out he goes.

If UTAR kept you, then UTAR standards really dropped. laugh.gif

Good luck to you anyway.

UTAR then become ULAR....LOL...

TS: You should take the advice here....
1) Why did you failed? Didn't put in effort ? Then put in Effort.
2) Put in effort, still failed - then you are not fit for this....switch course. Will be painful, but no choice.
3) Go work, earn some money and study part time for different course.

Since you said that your parents is not able to support you anymore, might as well quit the study and do other stuff. IMHO you clearly choose the wrong course if you don't like to study as engineering needs to study a lot, especially Mechanical

Drop out from UTAR and start working. You will surely be terminated if you fail another time since you see the president already.

Think it's really hard to get terminated by UTAR. You don't have the aptitude for studies. Take up a vocational course. Think some will pay you apprenticeship fees while you learn the trade.

Studies is not for everyone, and shouldn't be seen as the be all and end all. Think that's the sad thing in our current education system. Should encourage vocational studies.

Forcing yourself to study something you can't handle, might as well just stop now. Like what others suggested, go work, ponder on what you want, save money then go back study again.

Quit your study and find a job.
Start preparing a resume and apply the job at jobstreet website. I won't waste my time anymore if I were you.

Yeah try to quit this type of fake hope BS.

That era is over. Present CEOs are more academically qualified than most of our ministers. Success stories of drop outs founding Microsoft/FB often forget that those are drop-outs, not kick-outs - i.e. they were so far ahead of the curve that staying in Uni was a waste of their talents. Oh and they got admitted into Harvard in the first place, not UTAR.

which subjects you have failed so many times?
Perhaps you want to re-examine whether your studies technique is right. Right here is in context of your self.
Look at things objectively like what is expected of your course.
Explore diff techniques that most suits you (peer discussion, self study, rote learning, mind maps, etc)
Failure is not the end. Giving up is.
