I am a year 3 Mechanical engineering student at UTAR
My university is no longer willing to entertain me as a student.
I don't know what to do...feels like life is doomed, and my family doesn't have the
financial status to support me again, and my parent are too old to deal with my shit again.

Try to ask for one year break due to financial reason. Get a job to know yourself better and earn tuition fee first.

The bright side of this episode is UTAR maintained some standards, if the student performance is poor, out he goes.

If UTAR kept you, then UTAR standards really dropped. laugh.gif

Good luck to you anyway.

UTAR then become ULAR....LOL...

TS: You should take the advice here....
1) Why did you failed? Didn't put in effort ? Then put in Effort.
2) Put in effort, still failed - then you are not fit for this....switch course. Will be painful, but no choice.
3) Go work, earn some money and study part time for different course.

Since you said that your parents is not able to support you anymore, might as well quit the study and do other stuff. IMHO you clearly choose the wrong course if you don't like to study as engineering needs to study a lot, especially Mechanical

Drop out from UTAR and start working. You will surely be terminated if you fail another time since you see the president already.

Think it's really hard to get terminated by UTAR. You don't have the aptitude for studies. Take up a vocational course. Think some will pay you apprenticeship fees while you learn the trade.

Studies is not for everyone, and shouldn't be seen as the be all and end all. Think that's the sad thing in our current education system. Should encourage vocational studies.

Forcing yourself to study something you can't handle, might as well just stop now. Like what others suggested, go work, ponder on what you want, save money then go back study again.

Quit your study and find a job.
Start preparing a resume and apply the job at jobstreet website. I won't waste my time anymore if I were you.

Have you ever thought whether you are really studying what you wanted?

If you keep on failing, it might do you well to consider a course switch.

Yeah try to quit this type of fake hope BS.

That era is over. Present CEOs are more academically qualified than most of our ministers. Success stories of drop outs founding Microsoft/FB often forget that those are drop-outs, not kick-outs - i.e. they were so far ahead of the curve that staying in Uni was a waste of their talents. Oh and they got admitted into Harvard in the first place, not UTAR.
