Hi Im shadychaz Arr..i dunno liao..whether i use correct tag or not..if wrong let me know About posts.....my post never increase anymore and i know that not all forums the post got count anymore only few forums. Aso,i think because these forums people always spam so no post count liao... I want to make suggestion where, how to say... can we have like the post count is base on how long is the wording/reply/sentences..like if very long reply..can get more post counts..arr..something like that la.I know those people at serious issues forum can post like very loooong post ,for them, remain the same like usual .What i suggest now is for those where post not counted .This can avoid people spam right?? Or from post count aso..forummers can buy something?Like fuuny title, icons that can put next to their nickname... This is just suggestion from me only...if dont want aso..i understand Thank You for reading.. This post has been edited by shadychaz: Dec 17 2006, 01:46 AM

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't think basing post count on length is viable as someone can make a very lengthy c/p post which is just pure spam. On the other hand, another person can make a relatively short post but still contribute to the discussion. About using post count to purchase something, I personally don't think it's a good idea (though it should be a fun one) because this will just encourage people to spam more often. Don't worry about it, we always welcome suggestions

I suggest that you allow post counts in Console Couch. Look at the number of posts I've got there and the post count shown under my avatar.

QUOTE(Hamster X @ Dec 24 2006, 11:49 PM) I suggest that you allow post counts in Console Couch. Look at the number of posts I've got there and the post count shown under my avatar. No offence but if everyone said that, there would be a lot of work for our dear moderating team. Its just impossible to revise a rule just to benefit you.

It's the same question as to whether we should leave the bank vault open so that YOU as an honest, law abiding customer can have easy access to it, but at the same time allowing the 50 criminals waiting outside to go in the same vault, but for nefarious purposes. Stick around, always keep your posts meaningful and try once in awhile to visit the post count enabled forums. Make just one or two posts there. People will eventually notice you for your efforts and will commend you for it, no matter what your post count is. If you compare me with the rest of the moderating team, I have one of the lowest post counts. Only 3 figures. Some of the other mods are waaay past the 1k marker.

Might as well hide the postcount numbers from the topic view. That would discourage some members from making junk posts. Besides it'd make the left column less cluttered.

Post count does not mean anything. The content does. You would never know who newbie in the forum, actually might be anyone that novelist or whoever. Also, posting long, if no valid points just rubbishes. My lecturer gave me a D for long-winded project report before. Learnt the lesson from him... Nonetheless, I like my stars keep on increasing.

I delivered my message the wrong way. QUOTE(FAQ) Each time you open a thread or post a reply, your post counter will increase by 1 per reply/post. However, this does not apply to the following forums/subforums:-
1. Announcements 2. Main Site/Forum Feedback and Helpdesk 3. Events and Gatherings 4. Gamers' Hideout + its subforums 5. Kopitiam + its subforums (except Health & Fitness) 6. Anime Shrine 7. Galeries de Celebrites 8. Garage Sales + its subforums 9. Bulk Orders 10. Members Store 11. Hardware Questions & Answers 12. Hobbies & Modelling 13. Job Enlistments 14. Girls Club + its subforums 15. Trade Zone Dispute Resolution 16. Travel & Living Console Couch isn't there. Yet my posts there aren't counted. That was what I meant I just didn't phrase the message properly.

Why not disable the post count and the stars below the avatar once and for all? Hope I don't get flamed for saying so
