hey guys, i have an old desktop.. it was upgraded from Win7 "ahem" copy to Win10 ori copy by Microsoft years ago..I'm planning to reformat it, just wondering what are the steps that I should do? I'm not that IT savvy..

Is it download a Win10 copy from Microsoft website and load into USB first and use that to format? And how do I activate it? I don't think I have a windows key..

if you already install and activate windows 10 on pc, next time change disk, reinstall windows no need key, just skip the key part on same pc, if no major hardware change

Yep, no hardware change at all. Just would like to perform a clean install of Win10 OS.

So I assume I'll need to create Windows 10 installation media via USB right? then just boot through the USB drive is it?
