As of today i can verify ver.2004 has a very big issue with laptops that was purchased early this month.

Windows does not know how to manage battery charging anymore. And there seem to be no limiter that does that. 2 situations i faced with ASUS & Acer the last week.

On the Asus Vivobook, the laptop will keep charging up 100% and the laptop gets very hot even after sleep with charger plugged in. Cannot turn on and require press power button of 6 seconds, with cool down to get it working again.

On the Acer Aspire 5 There is also the sleep/ hibernate issue. Laptops does not know how to sleep/ hibernate properly. There is the instance the laptop was in hibernate/ sleep after closing the lid and everything seems turned off, but the power light is on. The argument here is probably the indicator light is showing sleep/ hibernate mode. But it isn't.

An hour later later when open the laptop lid, it is very hot and refuse to power on. Needing to hold power on for 6 seconds to fully power off, let cool and it worked again.

Both these laptops had clean install with version 2004 as they came with ver.1909.

My remedial action for the taken for the ACer was reinstalling all the older inf/ irst/ ime & windows 10 drivers that is in the manufacturers website. So far it seemed to solve the problem i hope.

With the ASUS, as of today, it has camera that refuse to work. I am going to reinstall back to ver.1909 for this.

Ver.2004 is pretty scary that it might cause laptop to overheat for one reason or another.

None of these problems occur on the office desktops. So those who bought laptops that has ver.1909, keep using that for at least until end of the year when everything seems stable.

Installed latest 2020 W10... and... there are several things that they kinda make inconvenience.

- clicking on the 'system' in control panel jump you to the new control screen first... wtfish
- netplwiz 'user must enter password to login blah blah blah' is gone wtfish?

Just try the latest Insider Preview of Windows 10 - 21343.1000. Finally some icons refresh!
