There's some CPU that says cannot support V1709 like some Atom CPUs.
How about older stuff like Core2Quad? |

No problems so far. In fact I might probably be able to assemble 2 more used rigs with same spec to sell. How about older stuff like Core2Quad? |

Slap some cheapo SSD on it and it will perform way smoother than any low cost OEM-pc on sells today with shit tons of bloatware & slower than normal hdd.Sadly SSD price still never drops, 30GB~40GB still goes for around RM100 but that size is enough for W10 alone. Got a Dell C2Q here waiting to test, but lacking the goat-damn WTF Dell proprietary-DVI display out This post has been edited by digitalifelesss: Jan 22 2018, 07:32 AM |

Anybody here doing coding or software development on Windows 10? I tried to make Coldfusion 11 to work with W10, but unfortunately no successful method yet. Or maybe I haven't try to look hard enough.
Now changing to Laravel for better supports. Mind to share what kind of development you guys doing? Using Virtual Box or VMWare or others? |

Using Virtual Box or VMWare or others? laravel is a good choice for many things, but still it depends on what services you are building. i personally use virtualbox mainly. it has its limitations but for server-side developments it usually has not many issues. We just implement CF11 for the past 2 years, and we're going to kill the development process due to lack of expertise. I'm trying to keep the project alive, so we can keep using existing CF11 app. Meanwhile, some project member already began with PHP development of the same app. So I need to make sure both CF11 and PHP running on my PC for development and debugging. At least I can run my code on my PC instead keep pushing to server for a minor changes. |
