i got scammed by this fella today. bought gtx750ti frm him.

turns out there's another user bought the same item from him too later on.

gave us both fake tracking numbers.

now he deleted all his thread and wwnt offline.

i lost rm350 while the other user lost rm380

will open a dispute thread at garage sales later.

do a simple search by username / name / account number next time...

Hate those who resort to scamming. They don't realize that if they treat a customer correctly, the total profit they can make off regular buyers, and new buyers who were recommended to the seller by satisfied customers etc is way more than that few hundred ringgit.

i considered myself lucky last time dealing rm1200 punya item with a seller i merely dealt twice previously, but have to say the seller are honorable, too bad i think they no longer doing biz

Actually what do you expect the police to do? Some people even lazy to report to the police. With the lack of evidence against ths suspect, the police cant do much also. My advice, lay a trap for this SOB and give him a lesson he wont forget. Dont even think of getting back your money, just break his leg or something.

1st time i see people give photo of own ic when ask people to bank in. i doubt the ic is real, maybe someone using his ID & open bank acc for scamming and the IC owner don't know.

all you need is insider in bank have the IC you can open an account and apply for credit cards etc.

How did you get it back?

Not neccessary....just bought a an expensive GPU from some dude a week or 2 back. Coolly banked in RM1K+. Received my card no problem.

1) Always check their name/IC/account number for fraud accounts.
2) Check the user history. New ID, very less post, potential to be scammer much higher. If you find someone who post a lot for dog years tokking cok, most likely not a scammer, because scammers dun tok cok. They just scam and run.
