@moonstroke

Yes, it still can be used but the photos produced will have different quality compared to when using the film before it expired. Different films have different characteristics after they expire. Sometimes some great pics can be produce using expired films. biggrin.gif

the colors might not be as good. If really 'bu she de', just make sure you don't take photos of anything important.

Film in the fridge? Is it help to protect the quality of the film?

In a way yes : Photographic film is actually a long strip of material coated with light-sensitive emulsion. By storing it under extremely low temperature, you are actually 'preserving' the emulsion, thus prolonging it's usage, way after its expiry date.

Yes and no. Moisture will definitely spoil the film, question is WHEN will the film spoil, so prolonged storage is not encouraged. 2 years was just my luck I guess. All my pics came out perfect. Low temperature preserved the emulsion and kept it under freezing cold temperature. Never keep it in the cooling compartment, keep it in the freezer.

Condensation only happens when there's moisture, but film canisters are airtight and packed with moisture-free air. So no condensation happens while the film is in the fridge.

It can happen after you pop the film out though, when it's exposed to our humid environment - so the film has to be warmed up to room temperature before being opened.
