First of all thanks for come in and viewing this, every help you gave will be appreciate much!

I bought my Dell inspiron 5420 laptop in june 2012. Use for two years, it is good to use and able to play game i want. But last year about 4 months ago, i have issue with my fan and i brought it to lowyat for repairing. It change my fan to modified one, it is having problem frequently, i went back the shop few times for repairing and changing after sometimes finally get a stable one. Unfortunately there is problem when i use it to play Dota 2, Dota 2 simply freeze and unable to play. First i thought is software problem, i tried so many methods suggested in internet to fix it including managing the visual memory, change setting in Dota, update driver etc. It is like sometimes it can play sometimes cant, so now i suspect is something wrong with hardware, or software which i cant found. I already have no idea what to do, so i will go to lowyat and look for expert to help me fix my problem.

The shop which i go for replacing fan cant answer my question and they only know to change my fan, so i would like to look for another shop which might able help me. There are too many shop in lowyat, and i really have no idea which to look for, so i post here to look for suggestion and if can share me your experience in repairing your laptop also.

I know my laptop is quite old so i dint expect too much from it, as long as it can let me do my assignment, watch movie surfing and play game(Dota 2 only), it is enough. Because i planning to change a new gaming one next year after i graduate. Recently really have no money to change it .

Hey bro let me know few steps how to check your laptop :

1. Your laptop only freeze while using dota game?
2. try use full HD videos from youtube, try to render the video for 30 minutes, when the gpu turn very hot the laptop might turn off or auto restart.
3. What i can tell you, when your use heavy game the graphics utilize its full space, so it might freeze, if you use ati or nvidia then that is the problem.
4. Normally change graphics cost around rm250 with 3 months warranty.
5. Very simple if fan problem, normally the laptop wont freeze, the laptop goes auto shutdown or the laptop goes auto restart.
