I bought memory card, Sandisk Extreme microSDXC UHS-I for my gopro yesterday through senheng (my parent bought some electrical appliances, so decide to take 1 memory card). and i received the card today. it looks like this, but the in my packaging it says "speed up to 90MB/s 600'

user posted image

After that i try to do some test on it, to see either the card is real or fake.

First i do Crystaldiskmark. And surprisingly the speed is comparable to my Samsung Evo Class 6.

Attached Image

Then i do h2testw. Everytime i do i get error writing file like below. but on the verifying part there is no error. i do this many time with 2 different card reader still got this error. but the offset code is different everytime.

Attached Image

lastly i format the card to ntfs and try to transfer 40gb iso games into it. But there always error 0x800703ee come out. and i notice that when transfering the card is undetected for a while and detect again, and when i press try again it retransfer the file.

is my sd card fake? i register this to sandisk website and there is no error whatsoever. im really confused. i dont have my gopro to try now. please somebody advise me.

If it is faulty, you can RMA it.

p/s if you bought it from shops in Low Yat Plaza, you can get 1 to 1 replacement within 1 week of the purchased.

by doing h2testw it will transfer file to the card. the max it can go is around 10gb before error.

that error because your card get "unplugged".

try on another machine that ha no issue with card "unplugged" first.

when you successfully test it, it almost always tell your card is defective, just like bloated av.

about the speed, it depend on your card reader, usb and how busy your computer is.

moral of the story: only use expensive card on "dedicated" device like camera (that only do read/write on card and nothing else). otherwise, any cheap card will do.

and fake card are not that bad now. only slower speed. that's why the only way to know is to register it on the website. if you can register, peace of mind, if not, you feel hurt for a while and after few days you will fell better and after a year you will realise, "it's not bad".

this "unplugged", is it happen if i put it in my camera?
i need to try to test with computer that doesnt have unplugged problem, but my pc never have this kind of problem before.

yeah, i test with my phone i can get around 70mbps writing speed and 150mps read speed. dont know accurate or not.

fake card are not bad? try purchasing rm300 card and then realize it is fake.

Not bad now? Fake memory cards/usb thumbdrives are garbage. The capacity is smaller than the advertised model and crooked firmware will just overwrite data when the drive is full instead of aborting with an error msg.

If you bought it from Senheng it should be the real product, but maybe its defective.
Try another utility to test your sdcard. I use this:-
https://www.vconsole.com/ckfinder/userfiles...Tester_v114.exe

Yeah it looks like you need to exchange the card for another one. If you look at your screenshots, the bad memory block is near the beginning block of the memory card. You could try testing again to confirm that the error appears at the beginning, quit and restart after the first few blocks to only test the beginning blocks.

Another useful utility to test the capacity of a memory stick/sdcard is fake flash test. It takes way less time compared to h2testw/vconsole but does does not test the memory for errors like h2testw, it only confirms that the size of the memory stick/sdcard is correct.

the Fake flash test utility has nothing to do with your problem. I only mentioned it to help anyone who wants a very quick test for the real memory capacity of their sdcard/pendrive because h2testw/vconsole takes very long to complete. Its not a full read/write test for memory quality.

i think it have that kind of test now. but unfortunately after doing that test the card become corrupt and cant format at all.
last night i use partitionguru to repair it. before i go to work it still in the process of repairing it. but there is 2 bad block at the top that unrepairable.

i dont know what have i done. after corrupt yesterday i fix with partitionguru, and it show 2 bad block. but i stop the repair process because it is too long. 24hour only 37%.
after that i do h2testw and flash drive test again. surprisingly no error at all.
