Guys, i just got myself a vellfire 4wd version.
But i don know how to get the 4wd working.

It only has the button(pic of 4 wheels with auto wording). Pressed and cluster show the same icon. But the "4wd" word never came out.

And i dont feel any difference. How do i turn it on constantly instead of auto matic.

There is no manual. Even if got, it might be in japanese which I can't read.

How to test. /see if its activated?
While car in motion, it will engage also, rite?

If Santa then press and hold 4wd button, in speedo there got car chassis logo lit up..

read around and if my understanding is correct, is it's not actually a physical 4wd system, it has electric motor on the rear that makes it like "4wd"

there only got the "Auto" button. i will try the "press and hold" technic and see tomoro.

i remembered the google said something about "e-42d". But the rear has an axle and driveshaft. not sure about the motor location tho. cant find it that time.
salesman only told me its not Full time. it wont come on if you driving.
but when raining time on highway, it will be more stable.

Only for use in snow. Here in Malaysia there is no use. Only consume more petrol.

Dont you have the car manual?Or the manual is in japanese language?
If you have the car manual,refer to it or find online if have.
Normally those with buttons usually just push should work unless there is something wrong/there are other way.

Confirm 4wd or Awd ?, usually Awd fulltime, cannot disengage. But sometimes 4wd system are also fulltime, like my Landcruiser, Fulltime 4wd.

Not sure. Normally these vellfires are only front drive.
But this got 4wd. But i not sure fulltime or not...

Based on my observation, it's so hard Alphard/Vellfire to give signal when they are on the road.
