From my observation (I am currently renting), the rental market is quite soft at the moment.
I am actually expecting to get a lower rent or else I will move out to a place with a lower rent.
Compared to two years ago, the rental prices here have dropped by about 20-30%.

As for your case, I'm sure you can rent it out. It just depends on how long you want to go.
If you want to rent it out fast you just imagine your bottom number at which you want to rent it out, and then ask the agent to advertise at this number.
If you are not in a hurry you can drop it by a few hundred every 2 months or so.
