Currently both robert timm's gold colombia and chek hup mandheling are my favorite. Despite both are medium roasted, the chek hup mandheling could end up quite bold and strong in your cup if the same amount of water and sugar were added every time. It really lives up to its claim, "bold, earthy, velvety and fruity", online reviews speak for itself. The only drawback is that it is kinda pricey compared to others, maybe because rock sugar sticks are provided. Robert timm's however is milder and sweeter, which fits well as a dreamy and relaxing night time drink.

What about you, which ground coffee you like best? Boncafe, Illy, Kimbo?

Was looking into chek hup mandheling after reading this forum. What are the usual price? Currently it cost so much more compare to my normal kopi-o kosong aka Aik Cheong lol!

Hey guys, wanna get some coffee beans for a friend for his birthday but I am a newbie in this area (anything that supplies me caffeine is good enough ahah).
Was wondering what good beans for french press (he has a grinder) would you recommend if my friend prefers stronger aroma (less/non-fruity) and I can get it in KV?
Thanks.

Sifu coffees, can i get your opinion please?

I used to use a simple breville all-in-one VCF117, but mainly for espresso when i was not in malaysia.

i shipped my unit, alongside a delonghi coffee grinder kg89 and a nespresso aeroccino 4 back (coming in about 2months time).

I wanted to focus on making a decent latte, and was thinking to upgrade the coffee unit to a more dedicated espresso maker.

What's the cheapest unit i should get (that i can still salvage and use my grinder and milk frother), i considered flair but quite malas to do it manually lolx..

Budget maybe something below 1k?

Hi sifu's does anyone know what's the best way to clean out old coffee grinder (KRUPS GVX212) that has been left untouched for over 6/7 months. The coffee grinder was previously gifted by a friend and has already some buildup, after that i didnt use it until recently i unpacked and found it.

For removable parts, i've washed them with soap, but there are still the burr and the outlet and was wondering what is the best what to clean them. Read online that some say to use bread or rice to remove it alongside the smell.

Or is there a place where we can send to just give it a good cleaning. Thanks.
