Hey guys, since working from home, i realised i had a bad tendency to continuously visit cafes for my cuppa joe.. So i started looking at a few options and was considering Flair Signature Espresso Pro 2 by Kinabalu Peak.

Is abit expensive, bout 1.3k (have yet to include a grinder cost and weighing scale), for me cause my aim was to get a cup of latte daily but doesnt really want to visit the cafe too much for fear of unnecessary contact. Apart from that I think the manual bit is also something that appeals me as I read some of the previous posts, and I find the electric coffee machine slightly harder to maintain (not sure if this is true).

Hence, was wondering to get all the sifus opinion on getting a Flair Espresso or potential alternatives, before I actually buy 1 in a couple of months (haha, have to save up).

Haha, I'm not too worried bout the milk, I am usually one for an ice latte and I recently am interested in a dirty latte (cool milk in a colder temp, and just poured a shot into in).

But good consideration also, who knows, that I might be interested in doing frothing in the future.

Thanks for the consideration of the grind, I was actually looking at the overall package for flair also, which goes up to 2.1k =(.
Now will look at the grinders that you suggest as well..

Hi Sifus,

I was recently given a simple espresso setup to start my journey - previously fell into nespresso trap. I have a donlim KF-6001 and a Groenenberg Coffee Grinder Manual and i have been tweaking and dialing in new beans (pretty slowly).

From what i read through the forum, there isn't any good electric burr grinder below 1k and we should use hand grinder. If that's the case, what would be the recommendation?

I was thinking the budget for about 500, but i know quite a lot of recommendation has been for 1Zpresso that may cost more - is it worth the extra money for the K-pro/plus series in the longer term?

Currently doing 1 cup a day, and occasionally two.
