Is there anywhere I can get freshly grounded coffee in KL? Place where you can choose your beans and they will grind them for you on the spot.

It is only good for convenience. The proper coffee machine brew much better coffee.

Guys am looking for an entry level espresso machine and grinder...I don't know much about brewing coffee at the moment so am thinking to get a machine to get some hands on experience.

Saw this combo from jcoffee, just wondering if this is good enough for a beginner?

Which one you are using?

If you prefer Americano, go for a Nespresso machine if you want a decent pod coffee machine.

There are two variants of machine - original and vertuo system. Original line is the older machine. Max is 110ml per cup. I prefer black coffee so this does this trick for me.

Vertuo line is the newer system. Their main selling point is that they can brew coffee up to 500ml per cup.

I have tried the 200ml version in one of the Nespresso boutique recently and the taste is really not what I am expecting. Guess I will just stick to my original line machine at the moment.

I don’t think it can fit big mugs though. It is just 110ml tops so a small coffee cup would do the trick. And yes you can top up room temperature water into the machine.

Just drop by any Nespresso boutique for a taste test. People like me go for Nespresso pods mainly for the convenience. Taste wise it is very subjective, but definitely no where else close freshly brewed coffee. But good enough.

Has anyone been to the coffee explorer seminar from Starbucks? Just wondering if it is useful for newbies in coffee like myself.

Is it easy to use? You have to buy a separate grinder right?
