Afternoon everyone.

I've been getting into making espresso lately.

i have a donlim kf6001 from shopee, and a hario mini mill slim plus.

Gridning fine espresso on this is quite good and consistent, getting 30s on ~60ml with ~14ml of espresso, compared to a blade grinder of course.

I've been almost grinding daily, but would like to get an automatic burr grinder, preferably with grind fine enough for my machine, and doesn't cost too much.

been looking at the Delonghi KG521 but noticed it doesn't grind too find for non-pressurised. Looking into the forum i saw some recommend the Feiying 600N (shopee available).

So barista-barista, is the feiying good enough, or any other recommendations i can go with?

How about a good quality manual steel burr grinder like 1ZPresso, LingLong ACE48, Commandante (preferably with Red Clix), Kinu as mentioned above?

I've already had a manual conical burr grinder, the Hario mini slim.

To be frank, it's good enough for me, I would like to get an electronic burr blender (either burr or steel, it has to be decently good and consistent).

Wow.. such quality information there. Thanks alot.

The machine not tuneable but it’s really impressive, I’m quite surprised it can extract finer bean than sh*tty Delonghi EC685. Sadly, I’d disposed the machine as it’s not cleanable after 2 years++.

Just had the Donlim KF6001 for about 4 months, using a Hario mini slim to grind fine enough for this machine. Honestly, this machine isn't bad for the cost.

By the way, anyone knows a good way to steam milk for latte art? I'm using this steam wand from this machine and so far all my milk aren't thiccc enough for latte art.

Not sure whether its me, machine or milk choice. Been using various whole milk and low fat milk such as Nestle, Goodday, Vsoy.

Probably not enough pressure and that steam wand is not good. Sorry no disrespect.  i feel that you can at least upgrade to the canbao CB-887.For that price, this is an entry level professional machine.Really a steal its a hidden gem. low cost, high performance.  https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a1z0d...id=543866114411

I'm not sure about 6001 model, but 7001 definitely couldn't froth thick enough for latte art. The pressure head and price are the main strength for this machine.

For tasting bean complexity, I would strongly recommend this machine. Especially you can experiment ultra extraction (up to oilly shot).

Thanks mate guess it's the machine then. Appreciate the feedback.

Im on a donlim KF-6001 from shopee, paired with a Hario Mini Slim. Recently on starbucks beans ethopian, grinding on +2 from zero point.

Getting 30 seconds ish, from 13ish g coffee to 60ish ml yield. Great espresso/americano for me compared to many other americanos i drank in KK (idk it could be part time staff not knowing how to extract properly, not a connoisseur)

For the price of RM 250 if not mistaken for the donlim and RM 130 for the grinder, its a decent price to start off espresso making at least from a beginner's standpoint. can't really fork out thousand just for a grinder or machine. But
it's a great starting budget for me I guess.

I recently got the Feiying 600N electric grinder, havent really calibrated it, im out of beans atm.
