QUOTE(CoffeeDude @ Apr 22 2022, 01:34 PM) Has anyone tried making espresso with cold milk? Try cappuccino freddo. Some ice cube in glass, pour 1-2 shots espresso. Froth cold milk with either hand held frother or French press maker. Then pour into the glass and enjoy it. This post has been edited by MyHobby: Apr 29 2022, 01:55 PM

Good day, would like to ask for opinion between 2 grinders for espresso in view of they are similarly priced. The grinders in question is Eureka Mignon Manuale vs DF64. Any user on either of these?

QUOTE(katshi @ May 10 2022, 09:13 PM) Good day, would like to ask for opinion between 2 grinders for espresso in view of they are similarly priced. The grinders in question is Eureka Mignon Manuale vs DF64. Any user on either of these? I used to have a Eureka Mignon MK2 and a secondhand Mazzer SJ; sold them off during my 'full manual' phase. I was planning to move from my Flair Classic to the 58 and realised manual grinding 18g+ per shot would get real old real fast. So forward planning decided to get the DF64. IMHO Eureka build quality is an order of magnitude better. It's a grinder you can pass to your grandkids to use, and then some. In terms of grind quality I can only do a comparison by memory, but I think I like the larger burrs of the DF better. The SJ is the same, but the retention was very high, and took way too much counter space. Retention on the stock Mignon was quite high too. The DF64's standard 64mm burr makes the potential to swap to premium SSP at some point in the future is a nice-to-have. So I doubt you will regret getting either.

Hi guys,
I'm looking for a new grinder to replace my Breville BCG820.
In my list: Eureka Mignon Single Dose Eureka Mignon Specialita DF64
I found that DF64 is fairly popular around the community, however, I don't really like the look of DF64, but would accept it if the Cp value is high.
Do anyone has any feedback on these grinders? please ignore the price as I know these grinder's price is not in same tier. Would like to know which one you guys recommend.
Thanks

Guys am looking for an entry level espresso machine and grinder...I don't know much about brewing coffee at the moment so am thinking to get a machine to get some hands on experience. Saw this combo from jcoffee, just wondering if this is good enough for a beginner? Shopee
