I done some research on Niche Zero before purchase and I think the design discussion is buried in Home Barista  or CoffeeUK forum. It's using DC motor stepping down the speed to around 330 rpm using planetary gear. This also increase the torque like using lower gear in the car.

Found the review here:

Thanks for the insight on NZ!

not sure purpose of thermoblock... maybe just for hot water wand... can't find much info on it

what is the local pricing? found some hkd & usd listing and it's not cheap ends up ~rm10k... same price segment but dual boiler vs e61 hx...
*
Yeah.. i was also wondering why the need for the thermoblock since there're already 2 boilers.. adding to the operating wattage consumption.
it's not available locally yet and currently, reviews of the unit is hard to come by.. covid-19 gua sweat.gif

I think the smart thing to do is to incorporate it into the group head...provides faster start up heating and final shot stability

bezzera first started with element heater in the head...then copied by decent espresso and few others... maybe wpm doing the same but using thermoblock

kd 510 has 2 thermoblocks... so the clue is there...

You noticed the KD510.. the 510 is a commercial variant of the 410, sized up to a 2 grouphead machine.

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a domestic coffee machine for home with 58mm portafilter, accept both used coffee machine or new machine. Budget around or below 2k.
Any introduction or anyone going to let go your machine do leave a reply to me.
Thanks you

Is there a consensus on how the Chinese Taobao grinders compare to each other? I'm looking to upgrade from my Rhinowares compact grinder, and happen to have relatives in China that can fortunately purchase one there for me.

I've seen people discussing these ones:
1. 1Zpresso grinders
2. Timemore grinders
3. Linglong ACE48
4. Anonymous 2nd generation
5. Wonderful grinder small

There's also these ones that I can't find much discussion about:
1. Apparently 3rd generation of Anonymous 2
2. Hero grinders
3. MAVO grinder

I'm aware that the Helor 101 and Helor 108 are better than these grinders, but it's also more than I would like to spend.

My impression from reading through this thread are that the 1Zpresso ones are better than the Timemore ones, but otherwise I haven't seen any direct comparisons between the grinders.

Any of the grinders that you listed are way better than your current one. Any one of those is good, no need to overthink it. In terms of build quality, i would put timemore the lowest in terms of build quality, its not bad, but not as good as others.

If you can read chinese: ( I cant)

Firstly, congratulations & best wishes!

I believe I've seen Aristo booths at quite a few shopping malls. Perhaps the best solution would be to go to one and try a shot or two.

bro...there's more to it than just country/region ah...

different estates, different berries mix, different process (natural, honey, normal wash), different elevations, hill facing different direction, different rainfall, etc... then roaster roast them differently... you can get many flavors from a single region

Yes bro.. thats why im interesting to taste single origin than mix/blend..
I search on shoppe not many seller who sell the bean in range RM 20-30 per 200gr..
Most of them sell above RM 30 for 200gr..
I know also why this type of bean sometimes more expensive than blended one..
So i would to know if somebody in here knows a seller who sell it with decent price (my budget is 20-25 ringgits for 200gr hehe)
