Saw that the 600n has many variants and replica ranging from RM100++ to RM600++. Thats why I decided to avoid it bcos dunno which one to choose lol.

I'm a bit leaning towards ZD-17W as it has built in digital scale although the price is higher.

But main question is what will I miss if I choose the crm3605 over the bes870 besides from built in grinder and the built quality?

I don't have any experience with ZD-16 or ZD-17 grinder but the common understanding grinder is one of the most important factor in making good espresso and will last you for many years. As for Gemilai CRM-3605 I can only recommend this machine if you wanted to mod with flow control device and your budget is around RM 1k. If you can increase your budget up to RM 2k for espresso machine, frankly speaking I would start to look into boiler based machine. I believe China brand nowadays you can get dual boiler for around that price. dWRK pointed out another brand, Milesto which have some interesting design for around RM2k. The boiler is brass and have quite a big boiler.

Personally I wouldn't get a machine with build in grinder. Looking at your budget if around RM 3k, I would get Sette 270 and Gemilai CRM 3605. Or if you are willing to put in more, jump straight to Niche Zero grinder. For home barista drinking 3-4 cups per day, Niche Zero with zero retention really save a lot of time daily when preparing and cleaning up. I no longer WDT or RDT with the grind. Just measure the bean, pour in and grind. Once done, give a few tap at the sprout for the last 0.1-0.2g. No cleaning needed afterwards.

Before you get the machine, you need to understand machine like Gemilai using Thermoblock will not heat up the brew head and portafilter. You need to flush hot water thru the brew head to warm it up. One technique to heat up the brew heat and portafilter faster is to put a blind filter in and press brew. That will keep the hot water in the portafilter to warm it up. Do this at least few time (dump the water out and repeat).

Even though I love coffee so much, I need to lessen my consumption due to my acid reflux. Instead of daily, I only consume coffee 3 times a week.

Bought a steak thermometer and tried to measure Oscar 1's water temp. Not easy juggling with brew button, start time, , phone to take video and the reading time takes 3 ~ 5s.
The moment I put the cup on table, temp dropped to about 75°c. +/-.
What's the right way to measure water temp?
