Looks pretty normal actually. Maybe you can measure with a scale what is the output
Maybe dose a little less, unless you're finding that flavors are lacking

What's the best dose gram for double shot? and how much shall I yield from it?
I'm new but I wish to learn more. Gotta work on all the basics.

There's no best actually. It's literally the recipe you developed for that particular coffee
Also, it depends on your basket size. In professional commercial machines, double shots range from 15g all the way to even 22g
The idea is you should not be packing too much coffee into the basket that it over-impedes the flow. But if you think you need more because you want a stronger flavor, then you'll have to upgrade to a bigger basket

A good starting point would be 16-17grams of coffee in, yielding 24g-34g of espresso. Ratio is up to you - 1.5x or 2x. No fix rules because some coffees may taste good even up to 3x. Alot of dependency on grinder consistency too

dwRK this is what I got at 30 seconds mark

[attachmentid=8825147]
my 1st cup

[attachmentid=8825148]
my 2nd cup

d33pbluez not sure but I've not experienced this when I use pre-ground coffee.

Looks ok...more like ristretto but hard to say from my pov...

Your milk & art looks much better... thumbup.gif

Pre ground coffee is stale...won't swell...so water just flow through

My first drip starts around 7-10 seconds fyi...and it will drip more before flowing...

Are you using Dedica espresso machines? My experience with dedica double-shot basket is maximum dose i can go is around 14g. Anything less than 12g or >14g will have leftover coffee on the shower screen after each shot which is a mess. Sometime depend on coffee bean you used, even 14g might require a hard tamp.
