QUOTE(Noregrets @ Feb 15 2016, 09:29 PM) You washed to cushion with soap and water ? I thought it is better to steam clean ? Otherwise the leftover soap will leave stains. Yes... rinsed thoroughly...so it's OK. 10 years of dirt and grime, and aftermath of 3 babies...steam cleaning won't cut it IMHO.

QUOTE(silverwave @ Feb 15 2016, 10:51 PM) Looks really clean! My sister's car is the 2010 model and it looks much more terrible with broken skirting and scratches all over Btw, how much did the sound proofing, deadening and absorbing materials cost? How many extra kgs and any significant increase in fuel consumption? DIY material costs about RM 400. Bought from Brothers. I know a bit about controlling noise and vibration...hence didn't overkill like the shops. Used only 6 sheets of sound deadening, 4 meters of "D" rubber, some electrician tape, a few squirts of WD-40, and 1 pillow. I didn't check FC...I find myself driving faster now because of the lower noise. PS... did some paint touch up and dent "repair" too...minor scratches can be fixed with polishing.
