Toyota, you don't need to send to Toyota for repair.
Parts are widely available.

Get it repaired outside.

so it would be better if i drive it out and head to one of the panel workshop and get it fixed instead?

assuming claiming of insurance and dealing with the adjuster etc would be easier and faster?

Since you want to claim insurance, talk to the insurance company and drive your car to the appointment panel workshop.

cause my only concern atm is workmanship at the panel workshops

it would be obvious that those under panel should be way faster

It's Toyota, no worries.
Get them to replace the doors.
Parts are available at low price. No worries.

Call insurance company, get them to recommend a panel workshop.

yeah i was thinking of just letting Toyota deal, but theyre not under AIA

as the car is already there, i was thinking much easier to just let them settle, but the betterment charges is alot (its an old car)

It is because you have not bought expensive parts on other brands.
Toyota has tons of OEM parts too.
Other brands may not have OEM parts at all, especially in Malaysia market.

It's Toyota, no worries
You only need to worry when the workshop tells you your car is beyond repair.

impossible, as car still running

damage so far is just rear passenger heavily dented, while minor dent on driver side with misaligned tyre (but no odd sounds)

but if panel charges exhorbitant fee... pls for the love of god, make claim on 3rd party
