There are haircolours that uses something like Henna, which doesnt block water to touch the skin or hair. You can find Halal logo on them to indicate that they're OK for Muslims. There's also a rule that says you cant dye your white hair black. Any other colours are ok. This is why sometimes you can see those mamak old uncles with orange or dark red beards.
