Hi all sifu sifu here
I am planning to buy Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM for my Nikon, but I notice the variation of price online from rm1k-1.8k all is new lenses.
I once went to a shop ask, they said that the cheaper price are mostly import rejected stock from overseas.
I wanna ask how true is that? Can I trust those online seller, (eg. Lazada)
Thanks

How come import lenses are so much cheaper compare selling locally?

Getting Started

|
import lens sell cheaper because some countries the tax is less ie: hong kong. so their lens price generally is cheaper but lately due to the exchange rate, not so much already. reject lens? I never heard before but maybe is recond lens.
If buy lens, i recommend you to buy from actual store and test it out if possible especially import third party lens. You might get a lens with front focus or back focus problem which is common. If that happens to your import lens, it will be very troublesome to get it fix if you don't have local distributor support.
