Hi everyone,

Anyone had a wedding banquet for about 15 tables? Which hotel/restaurant did you have your wedding in?

I checked with Overseas Restaurant Armada but they cordoned off the hall in a rectangle shape where the hall is really long. I would like a square or not so long rectangle where my guests can feel part of the event.

Check with Unique seafood, they only give you function room.

Anyone know which place gives you a good banquet hall with a good layout for this number of tables?

I personally like the food from Oriental Group of restaurants. They have a new location for The Han Room in The Gardens, MV. It's beside Borders. Looks nice and not too big. Perhaps they can cater for 15 tables. =)

Yup, their review looks very bad in FB. Best is to experience it yourself though smile.gif And also to look for a reliable captain to manage your event.

hmmm.... 15 tables is a bit too little to find a decent place to hold a wedding banquet.

may i suggest Noble Mansion in Petaling Jaya. try to find another 3 tables and they can give you the entire dining hall on the left side to you.

A lot of places start with minimum 20 tables which I can't even fulfill. I feel you.

What's your budget? I have more than 15 but less than 20 tables. Managed to find putrajaya shangri-la which take a minimum of 15 tables. It depends on type of wedding you want. If you prefer to have garden or western wedding, passion road, secret garden or even black market is in the list. These places can occupy max 200 pax, if I'm not mistaken.

I've got some updates.

I've finally booked The Ming Room @ Bangsar Shopping Complex. Its a restaurant. Not ballroom style.

Actually I had Holiday Inn Glenmarie allow me to use their ballroom (not the grand ballroom), for 15 tables only, but must choose their highest package and didn't cover corkage and a bunch of stuff. In the end not worth it.

Hi silver,

The banquet at The Ming Room is RM 1,199 per table.

If you go for restaurant, the cheapest is around 899 per table. For hotel is cheapest is about 1,500 per table.

No, mine was on the weekend, Saturday.

The restaurant is non-halal.
