Hi All,

I would like to share my experience in configuration of FTP server on Technicolor TG784n v3 which spent me lots of time and effort.

I'm using external HDD with 500GB running RAID1 with NTFS format. Just plug in the USB port in one of the Technicolor TG784n v3.

Steps as below:
1. Login 192.168.1.254 in web browser (no password required as I didn't sign in as admin)
2. Click on advance configuration (bottom page)
3. Click on Toolbox > Content Sharing
4. Enable FTP server
5. Follow the step in Youtube https://youtu.be/iZMmKl1Fl7o
6. Take note that the default user & password as below:
User: Administrator (capital A is a must)
Password: key-in ACCESS KEY which can be found on the bottom of Technicolor TG784n v3

Others step just follow the video from Youtube as mentioned above.

Done & Enjoy!

Cheers!

I am using the same router provided by Maxis, Technicolor TG784n v3, but I am no longer able to find "Content Sharing" option in the Toolbox anymore. Used to be there.

Now the Toolbox only have these 4 options:

- Telephony

- Game & Application Sharing

- Dynamic DNS

- User Management

Anybody knows why & how to restore "Content Sharing" option back so that I could use the router as FTP server?

Thanks.

You will need to login as Administrator. The user account "MaxisBB" is used as default.

To login as Administrator, go to:
1. Toolbox
2. Switch User (Under "User Management")
3. Login using username: "Administrator" and serial number (can be found on modem) as password.

After that, you should be able to find the content sharing tab.

Hi, I managed to start up the FTP server as Administrator. However, when I try to FTP to the IP, it prompts for a username and password. I've tried admin, Admin, Administrator and also using the Serial as the password - all doesn't work.

Has anyone managed to figure this out?
