hey guys.. need opinion here..

i type of people who using phone at least 2-3 years..

currently using iphone 5s 32gb as my main phone..already 2 year..

no problem at all.. running buttery smooth.. love the small size.. but nvm if after this using standard ip6 size.

but i just plan for upgrade..

should i wait for iphone 7 or just grab the 6s ??

love the 2gb ram

Buy now, then buy again when iphone 7 come out

if not, buy 7
but don't later ask again, buy 7 or wait for 7s

now only Jan, next iPhone normally come on year end
also with the decreasing of RM, iPhone 7 price ....

History suggests that Apple won't dramatically change the innards of the new iPhone (look at how long we've had to live with 1GB RAM before the 6S) so if you really need a phone now, the 6S is sufficient.

Besides, at the rate our currency is falling, not only will the iPhone 7 cost an arm and a leg, the 6S may even receive an upward revision of prices once the 7 launches.

Better wait for the 7.. not to much upgrade from ip5s..

I think the same answer will be given..wait for iph7 and buy iph6

iphone 6s...The only thing that’s changed is everything.

Let's see from 5s to 6s:
- bigger screen
- higher processor
- double the memory
- higher camera pixels
- 3d touch
- and other minor changes


if like that you said nothing changed then you must be blind or one of those users who only use phone to make calls and facebook.

hi guys i recently plan to buy an iphone anything i need to check after i open the box ? and which of the most recent problem that will found out in ip6s plus

im still using my 5s n 6s right now..

Check the basic stuffs you would check with any new phones... Whether there are any scratches or dents, dead pixels, audio volume, camera, etc. I'm not sure where you're buying the phone from but most places require you to pay first even before opening up to inspect...

Or if you want all day battery life, go for a 6S Plus and never carry a power bank ever again (unless you're a hard core, extreme gamer or multimedia consumer).

Buy now la. Still 10 month to go....

sell 5s and buy 6s,since the resell value of iphone is actually quite good

Depends on the user itself.. For me i just upgrade my 4s to 6s.. The difference is a lot. Somehow if im using 5s, i will wait for ip7.. 3d touch still in beginning.. Not much apps support for this features yet..

A point to note is that when 6S launched, the previous gen phones all received a price increase due to our currency. Who's to say the situation will improve later this year?

Well, maybe can scout around for a good used unit...

Buy now. Owning a Iphone 6s plus now. I was from Iphone 4 then Xiao mi3 and now iphone 6s plus. Just go for it! When ip7 come out, it will be expensive due to USD>RM.

i changed from 5s to 6s+. mainly due to the size and everything. but most important reason is because it's time for me to re-contract with maxis. Then selling my 5s. So total spending for me is just around 1k++ only.

with extra money = buy
without extra money = dont buy if you need money for something else

you can sell your old iphone... waiting is painful, nobody understand more than yourself since your brain trigger you to consider already

seriously dont expect much better in term of performance (like much better processor or RAM in next generation)

looking at the past iphone, new number = new design (les hardware improvement), with S = better hardware like processor double up etc...

Apple very clever in doing business... they introduce dual core in 4S, touch ID is 5S, 3D touch is 6S... 7? what to expect other than new design? if you do some research, you will notice those with S get a huge processor boost

Could be a good idea to buy now as it might cost more expensive later due to our weakening RM to USD.

Last time it was "better to wait as the price will drop with new model launch", now is "dunno whether there will be a price revision in the future"

heard rumour say tht ip7 gonna be a big change, but who knows, just buy ip6s if u feel like needing it cause u r not getting ip7 so soon even if its introduced in next few months,MY=wait long long

Considering that we got the 6S and iPad Pro pretty quickly maybe it won't be such a long wait... But don't expect it to be cheap though, with our currency's current state. Which is why it's also possible that the 6S may increase in price once the 7 launches...

I now prefer to buy S models as it usually fixes major flaws of the non-S.

Iphone 7 - should have major change on design and etc as always.

People that usually ask this kind of question either want the latest and greatest to show off or to purchase a device that has long-term support.

Both are not realistic enough in today's market. You either buy an iPhone right after it has launched or you get S models for a little longer term support as S models have serious hardware boost.

Same here... The S also has better hardware and the wait to get one is much shorter... Less queues...

If it's really true they end the 3.5mm standard earphone jack for a proprietary lightning one then I don't want a 7.

guess we need more info on this. it if went for as what you said.....damn, they are really chocking on user on everything they can.
on the other side, no issue for niche user of amp/dac if the 3.5mm is gone.

A better question would be how much do you think the iPhone 7 and/or 7 Plus will cost by the time it gets released? RM5,000 upwards?

IMO, they can save cost of making the 3.5mm port, save cost of audio jack license fees, save iphone internal space for other parts.

Fully utilizing lighting port + earn some (perhaps more) licensing fees from accessories vendors, get some ROI on lighting port research and production line.

Don't forget beats is now Apple, Im sure Beats is ready for Apple lighting port audio I/O. With early sales, they can choke up price due to less competition.

Just my own sense, damn we are apple's cash cow. icow

For me it's just too expensive to buy the phone outright without a contract. Even if I can afford it, it doesn't make sense.

Yeah, but recently realised getting one direct from apple online store + umobile RM28 package = cheaper than maxis 12months contract.

Im not sure about now, but Digi and Celcom were much more expensive when i got my iphone from maxis 12months contract.

Hope they can subsidised more to make their contract more affordable, or else, no point to get contract.

got mine ip6S yesterday with maxis 128, phone 1990, with all include 2600 + GST.

if waiting for ip7, probably to reach MY will be 9month from now.

Usually the S releases are to fix major flaws in the non-S models. If you don't mind risking any issues then go ahead and wait for the 7.

However history have already shown that non-S releases usually have at least one major flaw be it technical or cosmetic flaw.

Better wait la. iPhone 6S really nothing special. Mightself just buy the iPhone 6.

Couldn't agree more. Also, the S cycle upgrades has lesser queues - better chances of scoring the model and color you want without having to hunt high and low for it.

for me minimal difference. the interface is 100% same. 3d touch is more of a gimmick so far. if i was you, ill wait for the ip7. u get the ram, new exterior and better cam with the current price (most probably).

5s 32Gb still can survive for now, unless u got 16Gb then its worth to upgrade..make sure go for highest Gb..128 above

dude. now only March. the new phone wont come out till September in US. perhaps arrive Malaysia latest by November.

If you're not in a hurry, then yes, it's worth waiting. Even if you don't buy the iPhone 7 when it launches, the 6S will probably drop a little in price (unless our currency depreciates further in the next few months, but looks unlikely now)
