The difference is less than MYR1000. By comparing the 13 inch model,

13inch non touch bar: 6089 (education price) vs 6299 --- MYR210 difference
13 inch tb, 256GB SSD: 7179 (education price) vs 7599 --- MYR420 difference
13 inch tb, 512GB SSD: 7979 (education price) vs 8399 --- MYR420 difference

15 inch tb, 256GB SSD: 9559 (education price) vs 10199 --- MYR640 difference
15 inch tb, 512GB SSD: 11139 (education price) vs 11999 --- MYR860 difference

Unless you customise the 15 inch to the max,

15 inch tb, 2.9Ghz cpu + 2TB SSD + Radeon 460: 17349 (education price) vs 18899 --- MYR1550 difference

oh btw, did you using 2 os or only 1? notice that if install 2 different type of os, the mbp is quite lag and slow. wondering if change to newer version of mbp got any difference or not  hmm.gif

Wanted lighter version of 15 inch as at time I use small Messenger bag to squeeze that 15 inch laptop. Partly also that 15 inch 2015 model still can fetch bit more value now. I only use 1 OS smile.gif. Used to run VMware on 8GB 13 inch model and find the performance still acceptable.

Suspect the status or the progress percentage reading of the update is not that accurate. Mine also kept pressing the update button today. After a dozen retry or more, it prompt for restart while the update status showing 20% complete. The update went through without issue and now it doesn't prompt me for new update which I presume the earlier updates went through successfully.

Same issue happened to me as well. Multiple retry with error. Ya, just keep retry smile.gif.
