it is actually not that bad. the skin it just pasted on the surface of the notebook and it does not really block any vent. so the impact is very very minimum.

I.thought the unibody aluminum casing was to dissipate heat too,

Maybe M unlucky. WD already trouble to me shocking.gif

Actually WD hdd has the lowest failure rate among all hdd brands if im not mistaken.

Seagate has the highest so i avoid them like the plague , based on personal experience and overall data on the internet

actually 8gb to many is more than sufficient, but if u are heavy graphic/video editor etc, then it is good to have 16gb.
*
Well, i do light video editing on imovie only i feel like its struggling. Bear in mind mine is a retina with 256gb ssd model.

my only option now is to upgrade to a new MBP

That's why for video editing etc u should go for 15 inch directly, since it is already high spec.

General uses who are not gamers or video editors then stick to 8gb.

MY unit IS 15" inch

I use under armour storm hustle II(not ur usual brand for laptops). Got so many compartments and a special one for laptop 15" max also. Use to pack with my 13" rmbp, some books, pen and lots of cables.
One neat feature is water-repellent(except heavy downpour la) and got one laundry compartment (in case ur shirt so smelly need to change mid afternoon haha)

plus the white color looks so cool like Stormtrooper bags thumbup.gif

These are the softwares that I have installed that keeps my rmbp in top form...
1.Battery Health
2.Memory clean
3.Disk Doctor
4.Duplicate Finder
5.Malwarebytes Anti Malware
6.Macs Fan Control
7.Updating Mac Os whenever available.

Some of the above are freeware and some need to purchase. Anyways the combination above makes my mac happy and I have no major issues since.

Thanks boss. installing now
