Rural and Regional Development Minister Ismail Sabri Yaacob today said that the authenticity of all IT products sold at the newly opened Mara Digital will be vetted and guaranteed by a bumiputera-owned company appointed to manage its tenants.
Speaking to reporters after a walkabout at the IT mall in Kuala Lumpur, Ismail Sabri said that the company, WGN Innovation Frontiers, has been appointed as the main supplier for products sold at Mara Digital.
"There are two kinds of products sold here but both must go through WGN in order to guarantee their authenticity.

unless WGN is able to commit the sales volume and becomes Tier 1 disty , and usually need multiple company to to be tier 1 disty , as some brands doesn't allow the Tier 1 disty to carry other brand .
wat the fark is this? I thot the sole purpose of having mara digital is to encourage and develop bumiputra entrepreneurship? that means learning and developing the art of sourcing for suppliers, negotiating with them for the best price, getting the best deals and yes, deciding whether to purchase fake goods or not.
If you're just getting everything from one supplier, and which is decided for you, then what the fark is the business education here? Then what's the whole point of the bumi vendors then? Just getting fark in the butt by the sole supplier while flashing a smile to customers?

This is why forever tongkat....they will never learn how to do real business....heck, last time i sold some gadgets, do my own sourcing online and importing, sendiri pegi blur blur also learnt a lot.

Ever go to Pudu Central? All stalls selling same product at the same price. I swear just last year I saw 1 supplier restocking same product for all stalls.

talk about decade, it is really a miracle how government had been helping certain racers for so freaking long, but until today majority of the racers are still helping people change tyres... they didn't even have their own F1 car!
the other thing i saw FAMA motto is jihad terhadap orang tengah.... fair enough, they setup the stalls for farmers to sell direct to end users that i support........

Another question is, if they are selling, what chances the products at Mara can compete since it will be scrutinized by a company that does selling themselves? What guarantee they will not sabo Mara traders?

that's the motto. but the irony is i find that some items are so expensive in pasar tani. better go to your neighbourhood wet market bcos it is much cheaper for the same item i'm a frequent buyer at both markets.
i think it would be fairer if comparisons're made with physical shops. yeah mara digital is free rental etc but they still have to pay their staff
huh? most seller at Lelong have physical shop they have online store too yet they have best price available
thats why I always buy online compared to physical shop because compare prices for those physical shop take times, some more seller dont like we just window shopping
