Now lately we see a lot cheap LCD TV launching...

On one side, i see a Samsung 32"LCD TV selling for RM3999.00 and another side i see another Samsung LCD TV same size selling RM4999.00

Mmmmm.. when we're buying a LCD TV.. what details should we look into (beside response time and contrast ratio) before choosing one and don't end up regretting later..

eh...i tot its already in d market last week...coz i saw at HSL the curve....i think the price tag rm7599 kot...but i mayb wrong.....coz i know thats the one wit the 1080p and 2 hdmi connection...or..maybe u r talking diff model...hehehehe....

I just recently bought a Philips 42" LCD and no doesn't have 1080p as it out of my budget. From my experince of buying do the following

1. View the TV as you would if you view at home.
2. Look at the back see the configuration most have 2 hdmi and 1 component and 2 composite and maybe VGA or 1 hdmi, 2 component and 2 composite and maybe VGA (Philips has the first configuration)
3. Look at the contrast ratio and be aware when the Samsung says 5000:1 its not always 5000:1 as it is dynamic and it may vary.
4. If you can ask the dealer to throw in a HDMI cable. I manage to with my Philps and got a dvd player with hdmi output as well.
5. Are you going to mount it or have it on the table with a stand. For some you have to pay extra for the mount. In the case of the Philips it comes with both.

Right now have my 360 on VGA, my PS3 on hdmi, my dvd on hdmi and my Wii to come will be on component so the Philips made sense to me although one can't deny the sleekeness of the Samsung.

From my own view of Samsung vs Philips the former seemed washed out and not so detail if you look clearly compared to the Samsung. If you want to know why the Samsung looks so bright and vibrant its cause of the overcontrast. Philips has a more natural look in colors. But hey that is my own eyes, for some the Samsung looks better 

I got mine for RM7,800 with free hdmi cable, free dvd thrown in with divix capability and usb slot and the wall mount was free. Good buy i reckon and if i had the dough would have gone with the Philips new model which had 1080p looked better then the Bravia X in my opinion

  i'm torn between samsung 32" R7 and Sharp Aquos 32"...i've looked at both tvs' picture quality n everything n i still cant decide...i've also read the HDTV thread and still there's conflicting opinion..

  i'm planning to buy either one of them pronto (since i just got a salary revision n year end bonus) but i cant decide on which one...to me both also good...

  so any of u guys bought either one of them? I need your opinion lar...really badly...better still if u are using them now...need to know first hand experience...will be waiting to hear ur inputs...thanks!!!

anyone know of any 26-inch lcd tv to rekomen? on a tight budget and looking for one in that size.
