Hi, short story to introduce ourselves: My gf has always had problems with her facial skin, especially with acne scars from her teenage years' severe pimple breakouts. In the last year she has been trying hard to solve and repair her facial skin, her acne scars do not bother me as I would still love her to bits any way, but she still really wanted to get rid of them, especially since it also affects her confidence, and having a less obvious scar would mean that she would not have to use acne scar concealers almost every time she steps out of the house.

(this is a very, very effective logic, by the way ) this can be used for stretch marks, cellulites, hair loss, eye bags, wrinkles, large pores, acne scars, and many more.

Many beauty centres in KL offer services for dermarolling, however each session would cost you around RM100~200 ish depending on center and treatment package, and many sessions would be needed to continue healing the skin, this can and will easily cost you thousands of ringgit just to improve your skin condition.

My gf then decided to consult her dermatologist on the matter, and the Dr. herself suggested to attempt DIY (do it yourself) procedures like many of her own patients are if budget is a problem.

We then went around KL and Damansara to look for shops that sell dermarollers , and found out that most shops sell dermarollers with their own household brand of skin serums, prices are different depending on which part of the face you are intending to repair, but it ranges between RM300~RM700

One of the key benefits of dermarolling is that it allows for A LOT better absorption of skin products/serum into the skin, hence serums are often used along with dermarolling.
There is no denying that those serums are helpful, but what conclusion we have arrived onto is:

i) Dermarolling by professionals or buying derma roller with serums sold by beauty shops can be helpful
ii) BUT if budget is an issue and you can not afford to spend thousands of ringgits to heal your own skin, it is still a very good idea to purchase your own dermaroller, and using skin products and face masks from pharmacies that are not too expensive with derma roller.
