main requirement:

1. budget: < RM3.5k
2. Usage: Browsing, watching videos (youtube, iFlix etc)
3. weight: Thin & light, easy for her to bring along during her travel/trip
4. Brand: no acer, no MSI
5. Size: 13.3 - 15.6
6. Processor: preferably Intel with Core version rather than M-version
7. laptop type: normal laptop OR 2in1 type.

i did shortlisted envy 13 @ rm3299. saw old UX305 Asus do came with Core version CPU but the new version only with M version. i'm kinda skeptical with M-version cpu.
surface pro 4 too expensive for Core i5 unlike Pro 3 that im using which the price still Ok last time.

i didn't put dell because it doesn't have dual channel so you cant upgrade your ram to 16GB like you mentioned in your preference.

according from Dell official website, it said 7559 only have single channel for ram
or got any new model that has dual channel?

Dell website should stated this laptop has 2 ram slots in the first place to avoid confusion among us

maybe he over look on INSPIRON 7000 SERIES - 7359T, or 7568 T

Can someone please point the differences in the inspiron 7559 the rog gl552 and the msi ge62? So far i gather that the dell runs slower, ddr3, but better battery life. The rog and msi is basically the same thing from different brandand form factor?

hi thanks. those have built-in nvme already. I'm looking for ones with empty slots. I see some gaming laptops have it, but they are big and bulky. the "lightest" so far I've encountered is Illegear U4. I'm trying to look for alternatives

Usage : video editing and gaming
Display : 15 inch and above.
GPU : at least GT950m
CPU : i5 skylake minimum.
brands wont matter.

3450 only? Its quite a steal tho. Cobsider 4gbddr5 960. Only drawback is i5 which is 20%(?) slower? Can fit m2 pcie and has 1tb sata
