For your info, it's actually the stable release of Skype 3 already

The changes are quite impressive. I like the redesigned UI which made Skype less bloated in a way

And the Live (a.k.a Skypecast) is quite interesting, as you can just go into any discussion room to listen/participate in the chat (just like a chat room, but using voice instead of text)
