If there really is going to be a wow server at sea...one thing for sure...i think its better that we form a guild of our own, and run instances etc with our own guild members... ^^

thyey arent rich, they demand from theyre parents money. If i was a parent and my kid wants to play WoW, I'D say NO go play a free MMo or sumthin or let me buy u a ps2 XD.

Better if i pay for my own time card XD

Dun say only malaysia got corruption rasuah killing and stuf, every where oso got you dont see it coz ur not there...other ppl's cursing is just as bad and just as nasty. were all humans were all the same. any realm also got bad ppl that like to call any one noobs and curse alot.

IF this malaysia server is up i wont mind creating a char innit and calling a few friends over coz More people from my timezone will be playing. Easier to get a party go raiding or sumthin .

You dunno lah...kids are very rich nowadays..they can pay monthly fee and play WoW in cybercafe entirely...but then I live in Subang Jaya...the place where any new cybercafe will still be packed...

Western countries do have a fair share of weird, stuck-up assholes la I believe. After playing online games for many years like yourselves I'm sure you guys have the same experience.

Playing with many malaysians and singaporeans and orang brunei etc people of the South East Asia, my experience have been a pleasant one. They're fun and funny.

Playing with the people close to us is equally fun as playing with them westerners. The equation Ang Mo > Asian is just not applicable at all laugh.gif

The truth is hard to swallow, but I have experience to deter me from playing on an all Malaysian/Singaporean server. Take mRO for example. I couldn't count how many inviduals I'd LOVE to track down, stake out their house and beat the shit out of them. From annoying ah bengs, to unrepentant kill-stealers, to ninja looters. They can ALL go to hell.

Do such people exist on NA WoW? Yeah, at a much, MUCH smaller percentage. I dare say my blood pressure is a LOT lower playing WoW when compared to my time on mRO.

No one's looking down on local gamers here. Whenever I met a Malaysian/Singaporean player on Lightbringer I'd go "omg wow, nice to meet you!" and would get chatty from there on. But let's get real here ; usually only tasteful Malaysians/Singaporeans play on NA server. Why? I've no idea. Could be the price, could be the foreign environment not conducive to "*** lei amma xxx xxx xxxx" type of ah bengs.

An local server with much reduced monthly fees WILL attract the unpleasant mRO crowd for the most part, whether you admit this or not.

I think I won't be switching to local wow anytime soon because why? Like everyone here tend to agree that we learnt a lot from mRO. But, if the local wow management put down hard on gold farmers and be alertful, I might give it a shot. Look at mRO, the GMs there dont give a damn about whats going on, even let the botters run loose ruining the game. And the people's attitude in there, so proud being level 99 and showing off and destroying the market by inflating the prices. Why? It all boils down to the rampant botters.

Even if the monthly subscriptions are cheaper than NA version, but with the rampant bots, I wouldn't even want to play them as well. mad.gif

Yeah soon, like 20 years later when you can download WOW in the retro-games section, when handphones have the processing capacity to be WOW servers.

Question of money (like just about everything else) - if it doesnt make money sense to do anything - it wont happen. Believe it or not there are some companies (with the possible exception of Malaysian GLCs) who actually do cost-benefit analysis which do not involve con-sultans producing a glossy ream of outright fiction.
