I can only judge those that i have played, so for me its

1. Ouendan
2. Rhythm Tengoku(Technically its a GBA game, but they market it as DS anyway)
3. EBA
4. New Super Mario Brothers
5. Final Fantasy 3

I just love rhythm games! You guys must try Rhythm Tengoku..

A tie between Elite Beat Agents and Final Fantasy III for me.

Can you really count Ouendan? I mean, that game was out in 2005...

No such thing as 'best game' for the DS. They're all wonderful.

Picking one and throning it as the best game is equivalent to dividing by zero. The world would explode when you do it.

FF3 Graphics Dodgy? You're talking about the DS leh.. i think the FF3 graphics are nice. Besides, who cares if graphics are dodgy.. its the gameplay and story that counts more. smile.gif

Are u sure there are no good RPG for DS...

For me.. most of the RPG for DS.. are great...
Its about the story and gameplay.. and not the graphics...
the graphics in DS is still better than GBA and much better than the old snes...
There's a lot of SNES RPG games that are great too...

Please ... no PSP vs DS things... its off topic

EBA was a let down for me sad.gif

And the other titles were fun, so I'me just doing a special mention on EBA, since it left me with a disappointing picture. sad.gif x 3

You obviously haven't played the old FF's then.. You'd be saying the same about FF1-5.. Neither of them(IINM) never ran out and 'cut' the fella. All they did was take two steps forwards and slice. No brutal animation needed.

My point is: FF3 was meant to be original, and faithful to the original FF3 which was released on the NES(iinm).

the same thing can be said about pokemon diamond..its the same as those pokemon green/red...the point is they tend to stick to something tat works all these while rather than risking venturing into something new which may not be accepted by other ppl... hands.gif

New does not always = good as you have probably found out yourself already. Not everything works with the touchscreen IMO, but you can in fact use the touch screen for FFIII.

In the game the touch screen interface works like mouse of some sort, you can guide the characters and navigate the menu using the touchpen.

Hmm... the last game I enjoyed on the NDS was freedom wing shocking.gif

sweat.gif heheheh I must be retarded or something but that nyat nyat nyat sound when gunning down dogfight opponents is really satisfying!

The other two NDS games I've played extensively are Animal Crossing WW (got two copies, one's for sale!) and Advance Wars DS...

So for me there's no real candidate for game of the year 2006.

Heheheh I'll nominate FF Tactics Advance or Advance Wars 2nd Strike... oh wait those were 2004 GBA games... hmm.gif

The main reason I bought it was because it's cheap on Play Asia (USD 19.90), and suprisingly I'm hooked, despite not being much of a football game fan. This game features WFC connectivity as well.

I've got a mini review of the game on my blog, with the link in my signature.

i dunno oh...so far matches have been laggy..lack of local players I think. Wait till the english version of the game to come out. Winning Eleven is the Japanese title, and it goes by Pro Evolution Soccer for the English version.

Perhaps we should have a Winning Eleven thread when there are more players around smile.gif

Hey different people have different priorities man. Most of us live in KL too, rent our own place or have loans to pay off. You have your original CD as a priority, we don't slam that - so don't use cost of living to slag the original gamers, yes?

Ok, back to topic.

It's quite a solid rhythm game mah.. Compare to O2jam/Ez2DJ/Rock Mania.. Instead of bars falling from above, in a verticle manner, "markers" are now scattered in the whole screen. The visualizer, or the part that makes the game less boring, E.G: In Dance Dance Revo you get funny backgrounds, like cartoon, and with the newer versions, you get avatars dancing. In DDR it's a little limited and it does not go according to your performance.. But in EBA, they really really follow the groove, and it's quite fun to watch. Well, since you've played it, I can't really say much more.

And if you think it's easy? Have you unlocked Agent Chief and maybe Divas? That's where the REAL challenge starts.
