shud be under OAC group insurance. not sure what the MME stands for though. for your coverage u r entitled RM250/day R&B and your annual limit is RM70k. this plan only covers you yourself (the employee only).
nope. overseas treatment is on reimbursement basis and claims will be based on the treatment cost in malaysia.

Which mean all insurance company also allow to claim if the treatment is done at oversea? Just based on reimbursement claim. correct?

Yeap correct

However there are some plans where you can straight away claim without having to pay first and reimburse later which AIA plan 500 can offer this

All overseas treatment is on reimbursement basis and claims to be based on treatment cost in Msia or Spore depends on which Allianz medical card you hold:

Allianz Medisafe Infinite = Treatment in Msia & other countries, Yes claims will be based on the Reasonable and Customary Charges (RCC) in Malaysia.
Allianz Medisafe Infinite Extra  = If treatment in Spore, All benefits in respect of the treatment to the RCC in Singapore.
Allianz Medisafe Infinite Extra  = If treatment in Msia & countries other than Spore: follow RCC Msia.

Your medical card from Allianz is the Infinite or Infinite Extra? @guviguvi
Also kindly take note that if it's the Infinite Extra medical card, there isn't Co charges of 20%. It is waived.

The Medisafe infinite has Co payment of 20% or 10% (Depending on RnB) if treated outside Msia, which in condition the total bill is more than 10% of Annual Limit, If within limit, all would be covered as well.

Thank for the explanation. My one is Medisafe Infinite. RnB150. Which mean only cover 10% of the total annual limit. If within limit all would be covered. How about over limit.
Example: Let say the bill is SGD50k = RM150k. 10% of my annual limit mean RM85k. Therefore, i need to pay the RM75k? Or the RM75k will be on reimbursement basis?

If based on your example, using Medisafe Infinite and being hospitalised in Spore with total bill of SGD50k, but SGD50k is based on Spore charges, your medical card follows Msia Charges.

So lets say for the same treatment in Msia is RM100K instead of RM150K (Convert from SGD), Medisafe infinite will take RM100k bill.

Annual limit if outside Msia: 85k
Bill based on Msia charges: 100k
Out of Annual limit amount:15k

From this 15k, due to RnB150, co-payment is 20% from medical card user, Allianz pays 80% :
You pay 15,000 x 20% = 3,000
Allianz pay 15,000 x 80% = 12,000

As long the medical card is used overseas, it will all be on a pay first, claim back basis.
(means you'll have to pay SGD50k by oneself in Spore first, come back msia and claim 85k + 12k as mentioned everything is paid on Msia RCC.)

---------------------------------

If it's a Medisafe Infinite Extra medical card, then it will follow the total bill of SGD 50K and exchange rate will be based on the day of discharge.
Annual limit for RnB is 1,000,000. No lifetime limit.

But same thing, all medical card used overseas will be on a pay first, claim back basis.

So the major diff between the two cards is, one follow Msia RCC, one follow Spore RCC.

-------------------------------

Hope that you are more clear about the medical card you have now. smile.gif

Would like to know most of the insurance company also come with no claim rewards for 10% every 3 years. Example: RnB150 after 9 year should be 195 for RnB. Let say 10 year I admitted. So the no claim rewards will be refresh or will remain 195 and continue to increase very 3 year. Thanks.
