I guess it's just a security feature, like my Citibank credit card, although already log into the system with my account, when view summary of the bill also need to wait for OTP code. More secure I guess, someone would stole ur password but with OTP, unless someone took ur phone at the same time as well.
If I m not wrong, the bank like Citibank will retain the account max 1 year. Meaning that whenever you have log-in your account within 1 year, your account still can access without so called "Activation Code".
If wish to more secure or afraid been stole my password, they can implement the code will directly send to email. If we cannot access email (example forget email password), they can retrieve directly to the mobile number. There is always can easy to settle without compulsory contact to customer service. As what I see that, it seems like customer service quite FREE time to do this. Otherwise, it won't make customer service teams trouble to provide code to customers. Does it won't make yourself been complicated?
Based on my thinking, it seems like Allianz IT teams really poor to handle this online portal system. Imagine you are using internet banking everytime before we access the online portal which need activation code from customer service, how difficulty to access online portal purposely "just a check the transactions detail" only?
