Yes. But usually once you qualify the client by telling website prices start from Rm 5,000, it tend to filter out the bad ones.

I've to agree with @Icehart there.

Thank you @Vincentccw for setting this poll up. Hopefully it'll be a good start to know what our market here is like and possibly becoming.

I see a lot of 1400 and below. LOL!

Like you said the cost depends on the complexity of the website + if its developed by a company or freelancer. If its a company project normally they wont entertain jobs thats lower than xxx amount because they have to take in consideration of overhead of company, salary and so forth but for a freelancer or parttime in a team of 1 is able to take a lower fee seeing how the cost is much lower

Let's throw a wrench in there.. and create the following profile of the freelancer:

1) Under 21 years old.
2) Living with parents.

Because they may have not decided (or not asked) to contribute their earnings to the upkeep of the household, 100% of revenue is for their own use.

Hence, any amount between RM500 - 1500 is acceptable by them. Maybe for someone below 17 years old will accept less than RM 500. tongue.gif

But if we added the following criteria to our profile above:

3) Contributes to household upkeep.

Then wouldn't this situation be similar as you've described about a company paying for overheads ? hmm.gif

By your case, wouldnt The overhead of the company double up as the company boss needs to pay for the salary and also contribute the the household upkeep?

Edit: im saying the reason why your poll is heavy at both ends is because for a freelance 2k (1k after deduction family cost)  is acceptable while for a company 7k (2k after deduction salary company overhead family cost) is acceptable.

If you described it earlier like this, then it would've made perfect sense to what you had written prior to this.

Looking at the poll and grouping the first few category of amounts, it looks like many are in the less than 2000 category. Hmm..
